Inspections & Treatments
State Certified Inspections
The first step is our inspection, which begins outside your home, where we look for evidence of wood destroying pests and conditions which could lead to an infestation - such as earth to wood contacts or wood piles next to the house. Exterior wood siding, trim, and roof eaves can be problem areas, which we examine for damage and infestations.
Inside your home, we carefully check accessible areas such as hardwood flooring/baseboards, loose toilets and/or toilet tanks, plumbing leaks under sinks, around washing machines and water heaters.
Under the house, we look for evidence of termite and wood destroying beetle activity, wood damage, excessive moisture and things that can lead to these conditions.
You will be provided a comprehensive, easy to read report listing findings and recommendations.
Subterranean Termite Treatments
Subterranean termites start from the soil. To reach their food which is wood inside your house, they must find a way to travel back and forth. They do this through tubes they construct that gives them the perfect environment to survive between the soil and wood. They commute daily within the tubes between the wood and the soil.
We use the best and safest treatment methods to prevent this from happening further and eliminate their presence in the wood members of your house and the soil close to it. We provide a thorough treatment for your entire home to eliminate infestation and protect it for years to come.
Fumigation for Drywood Termites &
wood destroying Beetles
Vikane gas is guaranteed to eliminate drywood termites and wood destroying beetles within a structure. This safe, thorough procedure has been performed effectively for decades on homes, schools, museums and other buildings. Vikane gas penetrates the wood and destroys the infestation. Once the fumigation is completed, you'll re-enter your home having peace of mind that the battle against wood-destroying insects is finally over.
Fungus Treatments
Wood destroying fungus is more of a problem than most people realize. Fungus infested wood can be structurally weakened in a relatively short period of time. If a piece of wood shows signs of fungus but is still structurally sound our treatment involves scraping away the fungus and treating the affected area with registered fungicides Timbor or Bora-care.
High moisture conditions underneath a house like damp can lead to wood destroying fungus. In order to prevent these conditions we recommend installing a moisture barrier and possibly a sump pump. More information can be found on these additional services on our moisture control page.
Carpenter Ant Treatments
In their natural habitat, carpenter ants aid in the decomposition of dead, decaying trees. However, the large dark-colored workers often invade homes in search of food. Our treatment for carpenter ants includes using an advanced bait system placed at strategic locations around your home. We have found this treatment to be extremely effective to wipe out attacking colonies.
Carpenter Bee Treatments
Carpenter bees are wood destroying pests that burrow perfectly round 1/2" galleries into wood structures that can extend 6 to 8 feet long. Various galleries can be burrowed throughout the infested wood for bees to inhabit. For treatment we inject special expanding foam into there galleries that will eliminate entire infestation within the galleries and discourage other bees from returning to this nest. After treatment holes will be plugged. We have a variety of colors that can be used for different wood colors.
Structural Repairs
Part of dealing with a termite infestation can be repairing the damage that has been done. We have a tremendous amount of experience in repairing damages caused by all types of wood destroying pests and organisms.
